Where are you going to be on September 28th...??

Guess who will be making a stop in Edmonton in the two weeks???

None other than Calgary recording artist, Wil. PHENOMENAL musician. With a live show that reminds of the many reasons to take in live music. Just great. Check out his site if you are unfamiliar and need any further convincing beyond the Core nod of approval...

Well, Wil will be playing at the Sidetrack Cafe on Wednesday, September 28th with guests, Strada and Krista Hartman. Should be a great show.

Tickets are $12.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door. Doors open at 8:00pm, but get your tickets in advance, as this is a guaranteed sell-out.

Hope to see you there! It is entirely worth your while...

Forgive & Forget?

I am sitting here listening to Cold Roses by Ryan Adams & the Cardinals, and am kicking myself for not buying a t-shirt at the show. Sure he was a train-wreck, but listening to this album makes me almost forget his indescretions. Almost.

The new album, Jacksonville City Nights, comes out in a week and a half.

Austin City Limits

If you thought we had a great music festival, check out the lineup for this bad boy. Nate and I talk every year about going to it, and every year we fail in doing so. That really chaps my ass.

This year, I will have to settle (again) for the good old tv concerts on PBS. What a lineup, though. Starting on October 8, season 31 brings music lovers like myself concerts from Jack Johnson, Kathleen Edwards, Etta James, Ben Folds, The Killers, Spoon, John Prine, Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne and Alison Krauss & Union Station. And just for good measure, on September 24th ACL is showing an encore performance of Beck, with the Flaming Lips playing backup.
